Each department provides a variety in courses.
The courses are offered in four levels; from the more practical to the more theoretical. The programmes always include one or more work placements at officially registered learning places.

Having obtained a level four diploma allows the student to continue his or her study at a College of Higher Education (HBO).

Hoornbeeck College differs from other colleges of Further Education regarding its identity.
In 1968 it was established by the association “Vereniging voor Voortgezet Onderwijs op Reformatorische Grondslag”.
The association acknowledges and accepts the Bible as the sole basis for doctrine and life. It endorses the Three Forms of Unity, established by the National Synod of Dordrecht, held in the years 1618-1619, as based on the Scriptures.
 
The main location is situated in the heart of the country, namely in Amersfoort. Other locations are in Apeldoorn, Goes, Kampen and Rotterdam.
